Photo Friday – Central Australia

Central Australia is one of those gems.  As Road To Nowhere recently said to me, “it is an absolute highlight of the trip”.

This is part of photo friday at delicious baby.

Travelling Australia in a campervan since 2009 with our four children aged 4, 7, 10, and 11. We are a family living on the road. Stopping to work in rural and remote towns as we need more money, we love this lifestyle. The four kids are homeschooled as we work our way slowly around Australia.

These are such gorgeous shots! Love the last picture! They’re such great wonders. It reminds me a bit of the red rock canyons and vistas in southern Utah here in the US. We spent our honeymoon in Sydney & Melbourne in 2000 and have wanted to return and to visit these other areas too.

  2. Breathtaking – I loved how the clouds just hug the rocks in some of the shots!

Have a great weekend! Would love to have you link up with us over at R We There Yet Mom’s Friday Daydreamin’ if you have a chance!

Great shots! Visiting Australia is a definite bucket list destination for our family. It just takes so long to get there from North America that it’s hard to decide when the timing will be right.

Australia is definitely a great place to visit, and Central Australia is stunning. I’d honestly say if you can only get to one part of Australia, you should get to central.

Uluru is such an amazing sight. I’ve seen pictures of it a million times, yet every time it captivates me. It seems like such a beautiful part of the country. Thanks for the beautiful pictures.

Such an odd and amazing land feature. Thanks for the different angles – normally only the front is photographed!

  7. Amazing! Gorgeous photos! I just love the colors of the rocks. I want to get to central Australia….I’ve been to a lot of the east coast, but never more central or west! I need to do this soon though I think :)

Central Australia has been one of the most spectacular parts of Australia that we have seen so far. So much of it is truly breathtaking. I’d highly recommend it to be top of anyone’s to see list in Australia.

  8. Great photos of the red centre. And I love the first one of Uluru in the mist – magical!

  9. Amazing pics….and quite informaive blog.
    Good work!
